We travelled to Bowland via Clitheroe and the Inn at Whitewell to make the most of the weekend. A simple no cook dinner and a bottle of wine were enjoyed in the cosy Shepherds hut with the log burner glowing. We had a short stroll around the lovely wooded area of the site before dark. We had hoped for a starlit night but it was wet and cloudy. The bed was comfy and the facilities were great and close by. We travelled home through the great countryside along quiet roads. A great weekend away in a lovely area. I would stay again.
